Tim's Story
The Early Years & Starting Out
We do not advertise often, actually it has been years; the early years when I first started my own business. That was a challenge. I am a master transmission rebuilder. I have been in this complicated field since elementary school in Cleveland Ohio, continued here in Sarasota back in 1980.
I finally went off on my own in 1995; a few business cards, a beat up desk and pregnant wife. Reputation, honesty, and decades of experience were all I had to offer. It was scary at first but obviously Barbic's Transmission Repair soon became the #1 choice for quality service, wholesale prices and big ATRA nationwide warranties.
Planting Our Flag on Deacon Road
In 1998 we moved to 6020 Deacon Rd, Unit D (near Clark and McIntosh) and planted our flag! In my shop you will see an American flag at every turn, since day one.
Barbic's Transmission Repair has survived; floods, hurricanes, Cars for Cash, the economy crashes, and even my own brief mid-life issue prior 2010.
